Multi-Million Dollar Contracts Secured by Israel's Leading Space Companies:

In a landmark development in the Israeli GeoInt sector, two companies have recently achieved significant milestones in their respective fields. Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has successfully
sold two advanced e/o satellites to Azerbaijan. These satellites are renowned for their exceptionally long lifespan and superior imaging capabilities. ImageSat International (ISI) has been awarded a substantial contract, valued at $37.5 million, for the provision of high-resolution satellite services.

This contract includes the use of ISI's 30 cm resolution EROS C2 and EROS C3 satellites. Additionally, the deal encompasses comprehensive ground station and maintenance services, further enhancing the scope of ISI's contribution to the satellite services industry.


Textual Geolocation in Hebrew: Challenges and Opportunities

In each GeoInt360 newsletter, we will present one cutting edge research or technology that is scheduled for presentation in one the professional tracks. For the first newsletter, we are proud to present an innovative study that investigates the challenges of textual geographic information retrieval in Hebrew that is important today to numerous civic and defence applications.


The authors present a novel corpus designed and implemented for their research. The analysis of this corpus points to advanced tasks that future Hebrew machine learning models will need to handle to properly model spatially-oriented text.
